Does the thought of spring cleaning fill you with overwhelm? This simple, doable checklist is perfect for working women. Complete it a little at a time!

Spring cleaning.

Does the phrase bring to mind an image of a woman with a bandana on her head, wearing a stained apron, sweat pouring off her face as she scrubs floors?

Oh, wait, that was Cinderella.

Get your home sparkling clean with this thorough, yet doable, spring cleaning checklist!

Before we get to the list, I have a few tips to make spring cleaning a little easier.

Spring Cleaning Tips

First, limit the number of supplies you use.  This will simplify and streamline the spring cleaning process.  Here’s what I typically use:

If you don’t already have a bucket of supplies ready to go, check out my post on how to create a cleaning caddy.

Next, you might want to consider doing some decluttering before you spring clean your home.  This list does not include decluttering tasks.  However, I do have a comprehensive guide to decluttering your entire house that would be a big help.

Finally, spring cleaning can be a lot of work.  This thorough checklist breaks the entire process down into simple, doable steps.  It’s totally attaintable for working women!  You can set aside a Saturday to complete the entire checklist at once.  Or, if you don’t have a large chunk of time to spring clean your house, try completing 1 task per day for a month.

By the way, if you want to keep your house clean year round, check out my post on how to clean your house in 30 minutes a day!

Okay, on to the spring cleaning checklist!  (You can sign up for free access to a printable version of this checklist here)

Spring Cleaning Checklist:  Conclusion

This spring cleaning checklist is big, but it’s also simple.  Use basic tools, and take it one step at a time.  Some days will be more involved (Like cleaning windows, sills, and window tracks).  But other days, you’ll be doing nothing more than cleaning your garbage disposal.  Before you know it, your home will be sparkling and ready for spring!  If you want an even deeper clean, check out my series on how to deep clean your home.
